Thanks aghadowey this ties in with the Norris family history. Many of the children of John A Norris were born at the Loughan later ones at Colebreene farm. Oral history dictates that John A Norris sold the Loughan to his cousin in law Robert Cox. I like to think the Eliza & John Cox in the 1901 census at the Loughan are Robert's relatives. Would like to learn the names of Robert's parents.

Find my past has this marriage so if this is Elizabeth is the Eliza in 1901 then this Robert should be born in 1830s. As per the age of Eliza in 1901 she would be born c1834. If he is to it makes him the right age to be the correct Robert C from Fishloughan. I have ordered the marriage record but don't hold my breath that it will state his age or parents names /birthplace.

Where on earth have you 'ordered' the marriage from? You can purchase a few credits on GRONI's site and view the scanned image immediately for only a few pounds  :-\

Hi I went on the Emerald ancestors site and asked the site owner to send me a scan of the cert for a few pounds, have not had a reply yet though. I am not familiar with GRONI

GRONI is where all the vital records are kept-
https://geni.nidirect.gov.uk/

I suspect that what you might get is a transcription rather than the certificate.

Trying to order it on Groni but it says 1864 is invalid date. I don't have the day & month. What to do?

1864 is an invalid date format

Did you try to put '1864' in the box that asks for the exact date? or put '1864' in both the to and from boxes?

If you search with 1864 in just the to box it should come up.

Try searching with just the year as I explained above.
