Thank You loads Sandra for the excellent research.  I now know what led Mary Ann into emigration.  I never had a clue that she went with Boggis family members.  My grandmother will be most interested.  My nan knows a lot about her father Bertie Duce and all the 15 children.  The youngest sibling from that line Edith died in 2002 and was born in 1903 aged 99...  Her oldest uncle William Boggis Duce was born in 1875.  Emily had a child roughly every other year over a 30 year period.  Amazing...  If you ever come across a marriage for Mary Ann or find her in the US 1940 or 50 Census or find a death I would love to hear from you.  I would really like to try a find a distant cousin..  The only clues I have from my nan is she may of married a Surgeon/Doctor. She went by the nickname Poll or Polly.. She may well of change the Duce surname slightly too. Richard
