SAMUEL, Evan born Jan-Mar 1849 - BDM record - Neath

Not sure if it is possible to look up a birth record when all I have is the free BDM reference number, but if it is, I would be very grateful if someone could look at this birth certificate for me.  I am particularly interested in the mother's maiden name.

SAMUEL, Evan, born Jan-Mar 1849, Neath, Glamorganshire ref vol 26 pg 491.

Also, if possible, I would be grateful if someone could look up the marriage of

SAMUEL, David and DAVID? Sarah in Neath Jan-Mar 1847 ref vol 26 pg 526. 

I think these are Evan's parents, but would be grateful for any information on the certificate.

I assume that, by your use of "BDM" rather than the more usual "BMD" that you are in Australia or NZ?

It is not permitted to look at Birth, Marriage and Death certificates from England and Wales.
You must purchase a certificate, and have a copy sent to you.

You really need to order Evans birth certificate first to establish his mothers maiden name before ordering the certificate for whom you think are his parents.

Hi is Evan aged 12 in 1861 and in 1851 incorrectly dittoed as Davies, a family that includes various Davies stepchildren in Neath?

Thanks guys, looks like I'll be purchasing the certificate. And yes, keyboard86, that's the family I'm chasing. They don't make it easy - they all seem to have very common names!

If you are prepared to wait a few days I'll be in West Glam archives tomorrow (Thur) or Friday.
It's possible the marriage cert is available "off shelf". Will also check for a baptismal record.

What I won't be able to deliver is a copy of the birth certificate.
