I should have put when and where he was born, sorry
walter was born in 1886 in Sheffield and he died in 1933 Sheffield.
he was down as next of kin on his sons army record and the address was 25 warwick st chesterfield
so it seems strange to me what he was doing in chesterfield at that time as they never lived in chesterfield.
but now I am thinking did walter maybe leave his wife and then later come back.
just would love to know if he lived at that address

Could there have been other members of his family who were connected with that address? I often find that tracing siblings helps confirm information.

I know that all his family were in Sheffield.
but what I have just found in the Derbyshire newspaper
is that in 1921 at that address was a lady called lucy mctigh
and her husband was asking for a separation
as lucy had just admitted adultery.
now I am really thinking was this lady in 1924 seeing walter
it is all guesswork but just need to find out if walter was living with her
