Auld Aisle Cemetery Lookup

Helloooooooo.  Is anyone able to do an Auld Aisle cemetery record lookup, not sure if its even possible actually.  I'm looking for William ROBERT or ROBERTS died at Gartshore, Kirkintilloch 31 Jan 1887 aged 93.  Also his wife Margaret ROBERT or ROBERTS ms GREENHORN died between 1836 - 1841.  If this is an easy task, I'd be interested to know if there are many ROBERTS' buried there.

Hi, ssr1975.  If you bring up.  Scotlandspeople    website you will  be able to search for info.   If you post in Lanarkshire instead of Dunbartonshire, you maybe get some people who knew or heard of your relatives.       Myyran

I agree - Kirkintilloch is in Lanarkshire so you might be better posting on that board.
Memento Mori is a good listings website - free to browse the cemeteries they've covered but you have to pay if you want a photograph of the gravestone.

Sorry - my mistake - Kirkintilloch is actually in East Dunbartonshire these days and was never in Lanarkshire as I said in my previous post! Just very near the border of North Lanarkshire.

Hi... Thanks for your advice. Kirkintilloch was definitely in Dunbartonshire during the 1840's - 1880's as the family were living there.  Also, I'm not sure about that web site re: Auld Aisle.  I've visited that cemetery before and taken a photo of my gr gr grandparents grave, but they don't appear on the website.  It's my gr gr gr grandparents that I'm looking for.

if you contact William Patrick Library ....2-4 West High Street Kirkintilloch, They have the burial records for the Auld Aisle Cemetery.. You can contact them on 0141 777 3141

I live near the Auld Aisle and was walking through the cemetery recently.  I'm sure I saw the name Greenhorn on one of the stones.

I'm fairly sure they were prolific breeders back in the day.  Next time you're walking by could please get the details.
