Thank you so much for that, Spike.
I tried searching NSW for Emmeline/Emma but it was a bit hard not knowing a surname.
I am Australian, from all the lands I come (my ancestors, at least!)

Pine/Pyne, Dowdeswell, Kempster, Sando/Sandoe/Sandow, Nancarrow, Hounslow, Youatt, Richardson, Jarmyn, Oxlade, Coad, Kelsey, Crampton, Lindner, Pittaway, and too many others to name.
Devon, Dorset, Gloucs, Cornwall, Warwickshire, Bucks, Oxfordshire, Wilts, Germany, Sweden, and of course London, to name a few.

With Majm's help, I think we can rule out the Caroline Berry death in NSW. She was living at the same address on an electoral roll as an Edwin Berry. Caroline did not have any children with Thomas Berry, nor did Thomas have a son Edwin previously.
So Caroline and Emmeline/Emma are both proving difficult to pin down.  :(

Just looking back through my notes, I don't seem to have a death date for Mary Pooley either. She married Richard Polkinghorne in 1849 in Adelaide.

There is a Mary Polkinghorne m John BOSS at Moonta (Dist of Daly) 9 March 1877.
Marital status given as widow, born approx 1837, father Henry Pooley.
Can't find an obvious death ref for Richard POLKINGHORNE prior to 1877.
Then Mary vanishes.

I did see that marriage, but I am still using the Genealogy SA online databsase search and didn't have the father's information. Like you, I couldn't see an obvious death for Richard. So many district entries seem to have not made it to Adelaide. I have a paternal great uncle whose birth registration doesn't exist. I have his birth details from the family bible, and have met his descendants.

Our posts crossed.  :)
Thanks for that, Spike. So Richard obviously died sometime before 1877.
