Mid-late 1890's but it's impossible to say if the baby is a boy or girl.

Mothers still look as proud now as they did then!   

Very nice dress mother is wearing - looks expensive.  Hope you don't mind, though you haven't asked for it. - and you don't seem to have been back for over a week to see Jim's assessment . . .

Apologies Jim, thanks muchly for the date. I had a message re: the title of my topic being too vague and presumed the thread had been deleted. Still getting used to how huge this forum can be at times.

Wiggy - don't mind at all, expensive you say. In a Sunday best/photograph day 'special' dress or was old great Granny McNodiea worth a few shillings?
