I have found some baptism and a burial record on Family Search. I'm wondering if they relate to this family but with the given names are spelt differently. The family was as follows

James KIRVEN  bn c1836  Ireland  (also spelt Kerivan/Kirvin/Kivern/Kervarn
Margaret OWENS  bn c1941  Ireland
  married 1861 in Newcastle
  children:
James  bn 1861  Willington Quay
Mary Ann  bn c1866  Willington Quay
John  bn 1871  Wallsend
Julia  bn c1877  Wallsend
Micheal  bn 1878  Wallsend

I would like help please, are these church records for the same family? Have I missed some for the other family members?

Julia Kirvan. Born 1 Oct 1875. Christened 18 Nov 1875 at St Dominic, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Father Jacobi Kirvan. Mother Margarita Owens Kirvan. (2 years difference? Maybe this was an older child who died?)

Michael Kervin. Born 10 May 1878. Christened 21 July 1878 at Willington, Northumberland. Father Jacobi Kervin. Mother Margaritae Owens Kervin.

Margarita Kirven.  Burial Date 1 March 1895. Burial place Our Lady and St Columba, Wallsend.

Hi,

That looks to be the same family & the date for Julia on the census was probably out....2 yrs is not unusual.

Annie

ADDED....The naming would be Latin

I think you must be right about that baptism being for Julia but it means her age must have been wrong on all of the census.

There is a civil registration for Julia Keirvon in 4th quarter of 1875 Tynemouth registration district, but I can't find another in 1877.

What I don't understand though, is where are the baptisms for the other children, it is not as if they moved around a lot?

Julia may have been ill as a baby & felt baptising her would help?

Someone may come up with a better answer though?
