This request was for his birth. But you already had that ....  :-\ A bit of confusion because on your other thread, as well as this one, you said you couldn't find his birth.

It might be an idea to change the title of your thread if you are looking for supporting or additional information rather than his birth.

Do you know where John died? This might help find his burial place (if buried).

Something else you could look for is his parents in 1911, but you need SP credits to view the 1911 census. If they married before 1911 you might find the family with John's older siblings ...
His father Robert may have been involved in WW1 - maybe something else you could look for.

Yes Ruskie....

It is confusing as to what we are supposed to be looking for?

As an aside,
I have done research for someone which includes the surname "Briggs" from Ferry-Port-on-Craig & 1 was a Christina McIntosh Briggs b 1868....not sure if there would be a connection or not?

That looks a distinct possibility, with Christina not being too common a name. Possibly not John's mother though as she would have been 50 in 1918 when John was born, but there may be some other connection ...

Ruskie,

True that Christina wasn't as common a name but definitely not the mother. I don't have who this Christina married either but her mother was Elizabeth McIntosh & father Andrew Briggs....9 kids with no John in the line so could be an offshoot branch?

I have printed off  details of Christina Briggs from A**** Y  and it looks like it matches up with the details I have from my friend.

I will give her all the info I have at the weekend.

Thanks
