Poor House Petition/Application query
« on: Saturday 28 November 15 10:18 GMT (UK) »
I am trying to find information on a relative who ended up in a work house/poor house in Dublin around 1911, I have found her on a census at Madonna House Dublin?
I know this Madonna House had been in use until fairly recently before being closed but where would the records be held?

1911 census- Mary Anne Doyle Madonna House 193.1 Merrion Rd , Pembrook, East Dublin 4 - Industrial School (Sisters of Charity)

any pointers or guidance would be appreciated.

Hi, could you post a link to the 1911 Ireland Census return she appears on?

I am not sure if this is the right order of sisters
http://religioussistersofcharity.ie/contact-us/
However if you mention that Evelyn Vavasour was the superioress at 193 Merrion Road they might point you in the right direction.
Usually when dealing with requests of this kind they prefer you to write to them giving as much family background as possible.
An email for starters mentioning Evelyn Vavasour should help them help you.

Have you looked for a Marriage for her??

Marriage results for Mary Doyle of Dublin from 1915 to 1920
