George Barnwell Warwick
« on: Sunday 29 November 15 21:00 GMT (UK) »
Does anyone know the name of the mother of George Barnwell Warwick, born about 1820 at Bishops Stortford ? His father is recorded as being John Warwick on his marriage certificate when George marries Elizabeth Adams in 1845. To date I can not find George Barnwell Warwick on the 1841 census.

I would be grateful for any information.

He married as plain George Warwick - he is just George in 1861.  Where did you get his middle name from

In 1861 his mother in law is Martha Revell

The 1845 marriage cert shows him as a waiter and the 1861 as a painter & glazier.

In 1861 there are only 2 children aged 7 & 5 which does not fit with a marriage in 1845.  No wife although he is shown as married.

Witnesses ay the 1845 Marriage are John Warwick/Louisa Warwick;;;

Both not born in County

1851 Louisa has aged a lot, now 39, John Warwick is born c 1799 Bristol, still living in St Marylebone

John WARWICK, Widower of Full Age, Occp Stableman, married Louisa WISE, Spinster,
28 Jan 1839, St John, Paddington

On the image on Anc of George/Elizabeths Marriage 1845 it looks to me that they are both living in Star St.

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to look at my enquiry so far and respond to it. I will try to answer the questions to your replies.

George and Elizabeth Adams marriage certificate, I also believed it was Star Street.

I believe George, born about 1820, his parents could have been John and Sarah, that is what he and Elizabeth named their first son and daughter. That would fit in with George's baptism.

George born 1820, his middle name Barnwell is on his son George's marriage certificate.

I will have a closer look at the Samuel Revell and Martha Adams marriage.

There were a lot of Warwick's in the surrounding villages to Bishops Stortford, to the best of my knowledge, they all came from the area and I don't think there were any " outsiders " ( I could be wrong ) I do have a marriage of John Warwick to Sarah Pewter who could be the couple on the baptism record of George born 1820, John and Sarah married 1st May 1820 at Stansted Mountfitchet. I could not find this couple on the 1841, perhaps they had both died.

Regards
