Hello:  John McCreath Murphie (this is how the name is spelled on the register of birth document that I have from Scotland) born Feb 20 1882 at Carleton Fishery Scotland to William and Margaret Murphie Margaret's maiden name McCreath.
John is my grandfather on my Mothers side for some reason the name changed to Murchie when he lived in the U.S.
