Sean Casey - Lord Mayor of Cork

Hello,

I am looking into a possible connection between my family and the former Lord Mayor of Cork - Sean Casey (9 May 1922 – 29 April 1967). I searched online and I can find no info on his family origins, would anyone know this - i.e where was he born on 9 May 1922? What were his parents names? Any Siblings (etc)

Any info would be a help.

I want to find out more about his parents Eoin Casey & Alice, to check the family connection. I applied for his birth cert at the General Registry in Roscommon for May 9th, 1922 and there is no record registered in Cork or anywhere in Ireland. I don't know what Alice's maiden name is but if I could find the marriage cert between her and Eoin / Owen Casey, it would have Owen's father's name and address at time of marriage. I also checked the 1911 census but no Alice Casey and I cant determine which Owen Casey is the correct one.

Sinann - The Registry checked the Family Search.org record for me, it does not match -
the parents here are listed as John Casey & Elizabeth O’Shea..date of birth was 29/03/1922..place of birth was 90 Barrack Street , Cork….Fathers occupation : Barman..
