I'm looking at the free index.
If you register with Scotlandspeople you can search yourself.
If you think that 1914 birth may be relevant you can download the certificate by purchasing credits.

On the Social Security Applications and Claims Index for John Whitecross CARNEGIE his mother is listed as Margaret CLEMENTS.

There is a matching marriage 1905 st Andrew Dundee for William CARNEGIE and Margaret CLEMENTS.

As ev says-you can view the image by registering and purchasing credits at Scotlands People.

Gratuation, Scotland's People is a pay-per-view site, so by asking people to look things up for you you are in effect asking them to spend their own money on your behalf.

You can look things up yourself at www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk. It's not expensive - you buy 30 credits for £7 and you need six credits to find and download a certificate.

Jack is a pet name for John, so John Whitecross Carnegie and Jack Whitecross Carnegie are almost certainly one and the same. As his birth is more than 100 years ago you can download the image of his birth certificate, which will tell you when and where his parents were married (if they were married, of course).
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.
