Ward's Hill and Halfpenny's town
« on: Saturday 05 December 15 20:22 GMT (UK) »
Came across both place names in the Dunleer parish records. I have found a Halfpenny's town bridge in the griffith's valuation in Mooremount which is to the south east of Dromin.

Am I right that Halfpenny's town is within the townland? And where is Ward's Hill?

I am hoping someone with more local knowledge can help. As my searches so far have proved to be in vain.

Thank you.

It certainly narrows the search area. So by the looks of it it's near the main road going out of town and not too far from Dromin either.
