Ok sorry never heard of it although only 6 miles up the road.

Once back on feet (torn calf muscle) & driving I could go & photograph grave if anything to see.

That is very kind and would be much appreciated. I live in South Wales so it would be quite a trek.

An image of the Monumental inscription would be great to add to my knowledge.

I understand that the three newspapers I should base my research around are Derby Daily Telegraph, Nottingham Evening Post and the Tamworth Herald , what do you think ?

Derby as I said before most likely. No where near Tamworth. Can't see anything on newspapers online though.

A lovely sunny day for a trip to Donington cemetery. The Cemetery is small & well maintained. I found the plot for Francis & Catherine & also a Mary Elizabeth Halladay in a near by plot. Inscriptions as follows:

One stone - cross from top has fallen over grave but not broken:

In loving memory of Catherine
Beloved wife of Francis Halladay
died November 15th 1925
aged 65 years
Thy Will be done
also of Francis Halladay
at rest Feb 14th 1943 aged 83 years
Reunited

2nd stone:
In loving memory of Mary Elizabeth Halladay
who entered into rest
March 23rd 1940
aged 78 years
Until the daybreak
