John McDermond V.C. - Family buried in Greenside?
« on: Sunday 13 December 15 10:49 GMT (UK) »
John McDermond V.C. is alleged to have married Margaret Watterson at Alloa on 22 Oct 1863, but unable to find a marriage on Scotland`s People.
John died in High Church, Glasgow in 1866 and had a son John and daughter Joan.
The birth certificate for son John is Statutory Births 644/02 0607 and on this certificate the marriage date can be found.
There is no record in Clackmannanshire for a burial for John but I believe there is a burial for a Mrs. John McDermond at Greenside in 1873 and also for a Janet McDermond in 1869. Don`t know if this Janet is part of the same family though.
Any further information on the burial or marriage would be much appreciated.

Thanks Rosie. I have seen these before and also his military records. Just trying to tie up his relationship with Alloa and Clackmannanshire.
