Found this on the 1871 census
                                             Elizabeth 1841 Llandwrog widow
                                              William g 1864 Llandwrog
                                             Catherine j 1868 Llanllyfni
 place of residence Drwsy coed Beddgelert Merionethsire.
 William is not with them on the 1881 census

With the name William "G", it does narrow down the births.  There is in fact only two William G Jones born between 1862 & 1868.  One in 1866 and what is probably the one in the 1871 census a William Griffith Jones born March Qtr 1863 Caernavon 11b 488.

Have looked for a marriage for a Thomas Jones to a Elizabeth Griffith(s) (if the second name is mothers maiden name) but found none.  There is a number of Griffith Jones marrying an Elizabeth in the right period, as there are Thomas Jones marrying an Elizabeth.  There are also both Thomas & Griffith Jones of the right age dying between 1868 & 1871.

There are 2 possible Catherine Jane Jones being born about the right time:

Hi ray
          I've been looking at another William jones this time in Bangor. His mother was Mary ( maiden name Evans )born 1843 in Bangor she married Thomas john jones in Carnarvon 1863. she is on the 1871 census as a widow and staying with her mother Catherine Evans born abt 1817 Ffestiniog she is also a widow. Also on the census there is a john,Mary's brother born 1840 Ffestiniog.
on the 1881 census William is a cabinet maker living with john Evans in Bangor. Can't find William on the 1891 census yet also trying to find what job Thomas john jones was during at the time of his death.
