Giles Powell married Cecilia Llanspyddyd Breconshire in 1785

Hi,
I am looking for the ancestry of Giles Powell who died in Llanfihangel Nant Bran, Breconshire, in 1844. The 1841 census record indicates he was born about 1765 in Breconshire. The family seems to be closely connected to the Breconshire Parish of Llanspyddyd. His son Thomas was buried there and Giles was married there to Cecilia (Evans?) by Banns in 1785.

The 1841 census on family search, below & FindMyPast suggest Giles was born earlier.

Giles Powell Age (Original) 85 (85-89) Birth Year (Estimated) 1752-1756
Birthplace Breconshire.

There are baptisms on family search, such as below, sadly no Christian names or dates.

the parish marriage image says the marriage on 5th May 1785 was between Giles Powell and Cecilia Powel, both of the parish. The marriage was witnessed by William Evans and James Evans.
Giles Powell signed his name, Cecilia Powel signed with a mark

Hi,
Thanks for your information. The Cambrian obituary sets Giles birth at 1756, assuming the age was correct. I have several references to him (Giles Powell) living at Coedcaedu, a farm near Llanfihangel Nant Bran. Giles was buried at LlNB as well as his eldest son Evan. His wife Cecilia was also buried there in 1834 age 72. They had three other sons, Thomas, William, Giles, and a daughter Magdalene all in LlNB.
Oddly enough, I found a record of a daughter Cecila baptised in Defynnog 1731 by "Jenkin and Magdalena Powell of Glyn"
Does anyone think that Giles was somehow related to Gabriel Powell of Pennant who died 1785 age 60?
There are so many Powells in Breconshire!!!

His burial record "Llanfihangael Nant Branc, Coedcadu, June 5th 1844" gives his age as 88.

Thanks to everyone for their replies regarding Giles Powell of Coedcaedu of Llanfihangel Nant Bran. He had three sons. Evan and Giles had no children. The other one, William, married Margaret Havard daughter of Howell Havard (Farmer) of Yns-y-Moch Aberyscir. The marriage took place in the Parish Church of Aberyskir on May 16th 1839.
The 1851 Census shows them living at Nat y ffin Llanfihangel Nant Bran with a son William age 5. His brother Thomas was occupying Coedcadu, and the other brother Giles (wife Ann) was at Gilfach Trallong.
Does any of this indicate the ancestry of Giles Powell born 1756 somewhere???
