torode family tree from guernsey

 hello
i am looking for information on my fathers family from guernsey ci. his mother came from st.malo in france and father from st. saviours in guernsey i know his mother came from a large family mainly girls , i think as many as 10 sisters .
my fathers brother was killed on a battleship off gibraltar in the second world war and i believe there is a monument to them at st. peter port guernsey .i am trying to get my french grandmas maiden name through parish registers both in guernsey and st.malo

Have you looked for your father's brother here (if he was in British forces)?

Chief Petty Officer Telegraphist, P/J 45543, died 25th November 1941 on HMS Barham
Son of Abraham and Ann Marie Torode; husband of Emily Florence Augusta Torode, of Plumstead, London.
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

The CWGC site (Commonwealth War Graves Commission) also list some Torodes from WW1?
3 of them were in the Royal Guernsey Light Infantry.

I have just found this posting - did you find your answer?  I have it as Ann Marie Allain.  I think I got this from one of your closer relations.  I don't have any marriage details for them.
