It appears the John Marsden on the  Indefatigable in 1812 is the same one who died in 1827.
Tasmania state archives have his convict records and also a burial reg. with some details on it. These, if you havent already seen them, can be found on the above link.

Thankyou very much indeed Dizzifish and giblet, that's the man I'm looking for. Unfortunately I can't view the links, the pages are too large for my phone. Which is pretty annoying seeing as there seems to be a lot to read. Would it be too much to ask if there is a birth place mentioned please ? The only other information on this one is age 44 Killing a ? No family details

Thankyou for replying jaywit. John marston was transported on the indefatigable and died in Tasmania in 1827. I'm looking for his birthplace if possible. There is some online info but I need to verify it .   kind regards, Sue.

Can we clear up what the surname is Marston or Marsden?

No sorry, no place of birth mentioned. Very little information on his convict records with one page blank besides his name and ship and date.
