Owen Wynne Morgan and his wife Sophia Powell Morgan

Owen was born in Dublin 1814 and Sophia was born Sophia Powell in Dunlavin 1818.
Arrived in Australia around 1838 to 1840.
I am trying to find the name of the ship which brought them here.

Hi, Do you know where in Australia they landed IE: which State?
I might add to Cando's post on your other thread as well as this one. If they paid their passage it may be possible to track them, but if they were steerage passengers or bounty immigrants then their name may not appear on a manifest.

Have you had a look through the various online resources listed on the individual boards for each of Australia's states/territories ...

You will find lots of links to passenger lists there, but as Neil mentioned, it is possible that if they were steerage passengers then their names may not appear on the ship's manifest.

On his death notice in 1886 it says he was a colonist of 47 years.

Yes it does ... and at the State Library in Melbourne he is included in:

The Explorers and Early Colonists of Victoria is a historical photographic montage of 1872 by Thomas Foster Chuck (1826–1898). It consists of a framed collection of 713 photographs of the early settlers of Victoria.

I am beginning to unearth a few things about him and his life.
