There is now some reason to believe the ship was named "Westminster" which sailed from England, not Dublin. This is mentioned in his obituary.
There is also reason to believe that Owen Morgan was born in Co. Wicklow rather than Dublin. Trinity College Dublin records state this. Have yet to discover what was his area of study and whether his course was completed.
Sophia Powell, his wife, continues to elude discovery in the Irish records. She appears often in Australian records.
Owen Morgan's parents, the Rev. Moore Morgan and his wife Margaret (nee Conway) are buried in Dunlavin, Co. Wicklow. Owen may well have been born in Dunlavin, though this is unconfirmed as yet.
