Baptism of Sarah Griffith/s
« on: Sunday 27 December 15 17:39 GMT (UK) »
I am struggling to find a baptism for Sarah Griffiths who married Francis Hambersley in 1747 in Wellington. They had four children over ten years and I've estimated her date of birth to be around 1720 to 1730. The problem is, I've yet to find a burial for Sarah or her husband which may give a hint to her date of birth.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Betty  :)

Hi Betty,

I was just passing by when GRIFFITHS caught my eye.  Do you have an Absalom GRIFFITHS, Baptised 5th May 1790, in Wellington?

Cheers

I haven't got very far yet with the Griffiths - Sarah is the first in my tree but I'll let you know if I think we have a link.

Hi Betty,

Just discovered from a Marriage Licence that Richard GRIFFITHS, Absalom's father, that he was from Wrockwardine.  Haven't yet worked out if he was Baptised there or not.  However, he did sign the Licence, with quite a good hand.
