There are a few passenger lists - what year was your John Freeman born ?  Unfortunately, the early passenger lists give very little detail to positively identify someone.

thanks, I've never see any lists so I'm not sure if there is such a list for migrants from Ireland to England?

Ireland was part of the U.K. so no records were kept of people travelling between Ireland and Scotland, England or Wales.

I found a John Freeman going from Liverpool to Australia in 1855.

Thanks, he moved to Manchester England.
I can't find his Family in Ireland (due to popular name) but I can trace his family in Manchester between gravestones and relatives who are alive.
