Jubilee Day in Bolton Westmorland 1935
« on: Wednesday 30 December 15 16:45 GMT (UK) »
I have some photos of my parents in a fancy dress parade in Bolton and it says 'Jubilee Day Bolton 1935'.

Does anyone know what date they celebrated Jubilee Day in Bolton please.

The 6th of May was declared an official holiday for the silver jubilee in 1935.

Thank you.
Think it must have been on the appointed day! :) Why didn't I think of that - just thought they may have had a day and called it Jubilee day!! ::)

Sometimes you need another view point to make you see it - thank goodness for Rootschat!
