17th Century Satchell and Irish link
« on: Friday 01 January 16 16:10 GMT (UK) »

Hello, i have done quite a bit of pre internet research into the Satchwell / Satchell family in Ireland in the counties of Roscommon and Galway. I have managed to trace my ancesters back to 1730's, and now after a 15 year brake from research wish to go back further. I strongly believe to Satchells came to Ireland originally as part of the Cromwellian / Parlimentarian army of the 1650's from England (details can be given on request). As Warwickshire is a county with a lot of Satchells today, i am hoping if anyone there has traced their Satchell family that far back and have a 17th century Irish link? First names could include Thomas or Ralph. Thanks.
