Igor I would be tempted to look for any Ashe births around the right time in case Christian names were changed later on. At least it's an uncommon surname.

Violet Mercy Ash, she is registered as.  Thank you, I am not really very good with ScotlandsPeople.

At the time of her birth, Richard is still an actor - by 1915 at the birth of his son Richard Victor, he is a munitions worker.

Now to see if I can find a death for Tina, which the other tree says was of influenza in 1920

My thoughts on Kate, bearing in mind she was no spring chicken by the time Tina married and settled down; are that she either settled close to Tina or she came back to northern England and either married or lived with a man.

If you look for Kate Ford marriages around that time there are a few to go at.

jaywit, great link to tree  :) Gives Igor now descendants to search too.

Richard Ashe showing in Scotland I think (aged 28 in the Renfrewshire area). Haven't viewed it on SP, just on the general search screen.

PS: Misericordia from Spanish translates to Mercy as you found Igor. Wonder why the Spanish ref? Mercy sounds better  ;) Spanish names can be a tad dramatic sometimes  8)

Thank you, Monica - the Richard Ashe in the 1911 isn't the right one and I can't see another likely one at present. I find Scotland's People frustrating - spend a lot of money on Ancestry but resent seeing my cash vanish so quickly before my eyes!!!
Also no sign of Tina or Richard on FindMyPast newspapers.
But so pleased to see their wedding and I have written to the other Ancestry tree holders asking if they have more details or would like info about Tina's heritage.
