DARTS families in Barking and Romford, Essex
« on: Saturday 02 January 16 22:14 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for information regarding the children of Charles William Darts and Amelia Elizabeth Smith, who were born between 1888 and 1903 in Barking, Essex and then between 1904 and 1906 with Charles William Darts and his second wife Phyllis Groves.  The first group of children: Isaac William, Charles Richard (went to New Zealand), Emily Amelia, Lily Elizabeth, Walter Victor and Marie Adelaide remained in the Barking area, as far as I know and the children from the second marriage: George Joseph and Agnes Jane were either in Romford or Ilford, Essex.  Some of the grandchildren went to Middlesex and London.
Any information or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Hi. What in particular would you like to know?
Jamiesons, Martins and McGonigals of Coleraine, Londonderry
and
Cullens, Grahams and Challenors of Dublin county and city.

Hi NannyJ

I believe Emily Amelia Darts married William H. Bennett in 1937 in Buckinghamshire, Marie Adelaide married Arthur Bastin 1929 in Buckinghamshire, but I don't know anything about Lily Elizabeth Darts or Walter Victor Darts.  I know from Charles William Darts second marriage to Phyllis Groves, that George Joseph Darts married Kathleen Eva Andrews 1933 in Romford, Essex and Agnes Jane Darts married Frederick Ernest A. Cannon in 1928 in Romford, Essex.

I guess I am just curious about how the outcome that group of Darts as compared to the others who either went to New Zealand, Canada or those who remained in Wrestlingworth, Bedfordshire, England

There's a walter v darts who died in 1956 in Hackney. You'd need to post on the London board for him.
There's also a lily darts who died in southend, essex in 1978. Right birth year but there's also a lily maud born in 1897 in barking, so it's possible it's not your lily?

P.s. Charles and Phillips were living only a few roads away in 1911 from where he lived with Amelia in 1901. Barking is in the romford registration district.
