Isabella Henderson born 1824 Forfar / 1861 Census ?

Hi all ,

I have Isabella Henderson age 26 on the 1851 Census(in Forfar) with a daughter Louisa Craigie age 4 , Isabella is not married.

Louisa Craigie seems to have married a Henry H Fenton in 1869 and they had a daughter Betsy Henderson Fenton in 1874(probably named after the poor girl who fell into a vat of vitriol as mentioned in previous posts).

Isabella Henderson may have married a George Simpson in 1852 and they had 2 sons -

They also may have had a daughter Marjory born about 1855.

Can anyone see any likely matches on the 1861 Census for any of the above ?

Ev, Louisa C Simpson, aged 15 and born in Forfar, working in Edinburgh as a waitress in 1861?

Not what you are looking for I think. You need mother Isabella, post marriage to George Simpson post marriage in 1852?

Ev, transcribed as Limson on the service I am looking at for 1861. No specific address given, just Forfar. As transcribed, below. Everyone showing as born in Forfar, except for George:

George Limson 29 Plasterer b. Cornningstone, Aberdeen
Isabel Limson 38
Margory Limson 5
Alexander Limson 3
John Limson 5 Months

That "Limson" family does seem to match up with all the bits and pieces I had found.

Louisa C Simpson looks possible as well , 2 of Isabella's sisters were domestic servants in Midlothian in later years.

I now think Isabella H Simpson died 1873 Forfar , and is buried in Newmonthill Cemetery.
