Just re-reading the coroner's inquest of the bodies from t he 1848 mine explosion and it says
"the jury proceeded to the churchyard to view the bodies, which were lying in the dead-room".

As in  my previous posts I say I'm still assuming it was the churchyard associated with St Thomas but how can I prove this?

I still haven't had an answer back from the church office for a suggestion how to find this out
Any advice - Wales Record office say parish registers are held by local authorities, who would that be for the Neath area.

I've tried to contact the Neath Antiquarian Society library to find out about these burial records but so far no answer.  West Glamorgan Archives has answered me they have the records so my question is now how to find someone who might be able to go to the archives and get these records  for me.

I am happy to recompense anyone for this job.  Should this post be in the Look ups section???
Cheers

Hi folks
I've heard back from the church people so now have proof of the burial of the 3 young men as above. So please cancel out my request as above.
Thomas Gray remains my enigma but I will work on him shortly.
Many thanks once again for the Rootschatters who have helped with my research.
