Are you trying to trace the McGrath family further back to Ireland as is suggest from you posting on IRELAND board?

If so, the marriage certificate is crucial as it should list name and occupation of bride's father (unless illegitimate). Otherwise, we are wasting our time and it would be only too easy to find details of the wrong family.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Hi Carole,

We are able to move topics about on RootsChat, so if your family moved from Ireland to Kent we can move the topic you just need to let us know. (this way it keeps all the research together ;))

If you need a topic moving just click on the report to moderator button.

Regards

Sarah
