I have checked most of their booklets, The original church records for the entire parish, Newspapers etc etc

So back to square one

Was the newspaper check an on line check eg. Welshnewspapers online or did you visit the Archives (microfilm check)? For example, the Glamorgan Gazette dates from 1888 on the Welshnewspaper site. However, the "Hatch, Match and Despatch" on line records for 1875 can be found here -
http://www1.bridgend.gov.uk/services/libraries/local-and-family-history.aspx

Another local  "rag", the Bridgend Chronicle, not available on line, can be viewed at Barry/Penarth Libraries (haven't checked Bridgend Archives ' catalogue)

I have phoned Barry Library to ask if they  will check the issues of the Bridgend Chronicle for the weeks following Elizabeth's death. They said that  will do that and contact me next week with the results.

The Bridgend Chronicle for that date is missing , Barry Library checked so no go there.

I feel I will have to wander around burial grounds in the hope of finding a headstone.
It is clear that no minister or curate recorded a burial for her in the Maesteg or Bridgend area

Bore da.
This is a mystery. I believe all avenues have been exhausted locally.
The only thing I can now think of is that  Elizabeth is buried outside the Bridgend area or her burial just wasn't  recorded .
Nice to hear from you again.
