Which Mary MARRION of Tong? completed
« on: Tuesday 12 January 16 00:14 GMT (UK) »
I'm trying to trace Mary MARRION (many spellings - MARYON on her marriage). She married John PHILLIPS in Wolverhampton in 1744 and the register notes she is from Tong Norton. Looking on familysearch at Tong there are 2 possible Marys baptised at about the right time: 26 Dec 1726 to John and Mary, or 24 May 1723 to Richard and Sarah.

Would it be possible to find out if there is a burial record for either of these before 1744 as that would make it a lot easier to decide between them?

Naming of children doesn't really help as she had a John, Mary, Richard and a Sarah ...

Any other help or suggestions would be most appreciated

I've done it again, should have googled more before I posted a request ...

Have just found a web site on the Marrion's which seems very well researched, and indicates my Mary came from Richard and Sarah. The other Mary is mentioned in her father's will as Mary MANSILL.

Sorry if I've put anyone to any unnecessary inconvenience.  :'(
