Charles Gwynne (1790) and Ann Gwynne (1801), Bridgnorth
« on: Tuesday 12 January 16 14:45 GMT (UK) »
I am currently "doing" my son-in-law's tree - the Gwynne family.

I am currently stuck on Charles mentioned above ::)

On the 1841 census (Ancestry has the family as Grignon?! :o) he is in Bridgnorth and born in county. HO107/923/27/46.
On the 1851 census he is born Wolverhampton.
And on the 1861 he is born Bridgrule, Shropshire?

So, I am looking for a baptism and a marriage.
Children baptised in St Leonards's, Bridgnorth from 1822.

The only potential clue is a baptism of Edwin Bosser Gwynn, to Charles & Ann, in 1929.
Why Bosser?
Is Bosser correct, even?

Just noticed,
It's PROSER not Bosser, Proser is his Mothers maiden name.

Hi,

Charles, son of Charles & Hannah GWYN, Christened 30th January 1790 at St. Leonard's, Bridgnorth.
Charles was buried here in 1867, one of at least eight GWYNN burials after 1855.

There seems to be a huge amount of facts about this family in Bridgnorth.
Give me a day to pull it all together.

Gwynne Chadwick (no connection to the GWYNN family)
