Thomas Clack marriage
« on: Wednesday 13 January 16 15:23 GMT (UK) »
Can anyone help me find the marriage of Thomas Clack{born 1811 Clanfield} to an Ann ? about 1835/6 ?

Ann died in 1858 but in the 1851 census gives place of birth as Shipton on Cherwell.

There is a "lodger" with them in 1851 named Elizabeth Howse born 1784 -maybe Ann's mother ?

Are they married in 1841?  What year was their first child born?  This helps determine whether it was a pre or post 1837 marriage

1841 entry shows eldest child 3yrs old - freebmd shows birth reg as June 1838

Have you obtained a copy of any of the childrens birth certs to help establish Ann's maiden name?

there is this baptism

04 sept 1836
CLACK Joseph, s Thomas & Ann, lab, JPP Clanfield Baptisms 1813-1862 Page 9

and a burial

03 January 1838
CLACK Joseph, 1 year  Clanfield Burials 1633-1880 Page 28

so marriage could be little earlier

Thank you for your responses - yes I have a lot of information and one of the Ancetry Trees is mine -I have not ordered a certificate as it is not one of my Clack lines but one of the other trees{with no sources} has "hijacked" one of my ancesters and it is not correct so I hoped I could find the correct
 marriage !!

Thank you
