Above birth notice is that of the child John (John Montague Spencer) STANHOPE - b. 31 December 1860.   
He appears - aged 3 months - on the 1861 census at Cannon Hall, Cawthorne, Yorkshire, with his paternal grandparents / his parents (Walter T.W. and Elizabeth J.S. ... and sister Mary G. aged 3.  Both children said to be born in London.)

Walter Spencer STANHOPE (s/o Walter T.W. and Elizabeth J.) was born in the last quarter of 1861.
