You'd think a name like Iorweth would be easy to find.
« on: Sunday 17 January 16 15:42 GMT (UK) »
I'm looking for Iorweth Roberts in 1911 census, can anyone help? Struggling to find his family.

He was married in 1929 to Rosina, registered in Pontypridd but a daughter was born in Ferndale, Rhondda in 1933.
He had a brother William and a sister Lilian
His parents were Edward and Elizabeth

That's all I know I'm afraid, can anyone find him or his parents in 1911?

Maybe nonsense but is the original a capital I. or a lowercase l

1939 index gives his year of birth as 1901

I am still none the wiser Mazi as to whether its an I or L as I searched with variants and Rosina in house It came up as Iorwerth when I copied and pasted though even though it looks like a small l on the web site

An Iorweth Roberts died Pontypridd district in 1976 but was born Sept.1911 (just after census)-

Another born May 1901 died 1974 South Glamorgan-

Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

A name like Iorwerth is easy to mistranscribe!

Think this is him on 1911

(and it's a capital i)
