Sarah Nicholl possibly of Belford 1750s
« on: Sunday 17 January 16 16:35 GMT (UK) »
Hi All

I am trying to find information re Sarah Nichol possibly born in Belford c1751 - she married Thomas Holmes 1/8/1784 at Belford St Mary. All their children were born in Belford and she died there in 1811. I know the Belford records are very fragile so admit this is a long shot but maybe someone is researching the same family?

thanks
Judith

Belford St. Mary:  Sarah late Nichol, of Horton in the parish of Chatton wife of Thomas Holmes died 15th Feb, buried 17th Feb 1811, age 59

The only Nichol I can find in Belford 1750-52 range was named Anne baptised 21 Jun 1752 d/o John.  They did not record place or father's occupations at the time in this parish.  Pretty devoid of anyone named Nichol or Nichols, there are Nicholson's though.
