Is it possible that the word might be something other than........ H - a -r - r- i - e - r.......

Could it be  Farrier ?

I've moved your topic here to the "Occupational Interests" board, and I've added the occupation (Harrier) to the the title of your post. Hopefully it will help people find your post and so get you some more help and ideas.

A Hurrier or Harrier was a person that moved mined coal.
