Eliza Jane Norman Vincent - How difficult can this be???
« on: Saturday 23 January 16 11:47 GMT (UK) »
Eliza Jane Norman Vincent is the daughter of Charles (b1800 Robert (b1826, Fressingfield) and Harriet (b1829, Ipswich). Eliza was baptised in Ipswich on 12 Sep 1849 and you can find her on the 1851 census with Mother and father in St Annes St. Ipswich.

After that, I can't find any of them.

Help please. They're driving me potty (pottier :P)

Many thanks,
Malcolm

Have you considered emigration?
I am Australian, from all the lands I come (my ancestors, at least!)

Pine/Pyne, Dowdeswell, Kempster, Sando/Sandoe/Sandow, Nancarrow, Hounslow, Youatt, Richardson, Jarmyn, Oxlade, Coad, Kelsey, Crampton, Lindner, Pittaway, and too many others to name.
Devon, Dorset, Gloucs, Cornwall, Warwickshire, Bucks, Oxfordshire, Wilts, Germany, Sweden, and of course London, to name a few.

Hi,

Yes, I have searched Ancestry worldwide but can't find anything with the "Norman" name included. Also any Charles + Harriet (although she might be Harriot née Norman if I assume that Eliza has "Norman" in her surname to preserve her mother's family name.

Unless you were suggesting as a course of action :o ?

Ooops - you are quite correct and I have modified the original post. Thank you Rosie99.

Charles is Robert's father. Robert was born in 1826 in Fressingfield.

If you start looking at Robert Vincent from Fressingfield then beware. There are three of them born between 1826 and 1828. I am fairly confident  :P that this is the correct Robert.

Sorry to muddy the waters.

Probably but difficult to be certain without expenditure! I have found and added the marriage (Ipswich 12 497). Thanks for the pointer.
