John paterson late 1700s

Hi there I am trying to find a birth record or baptism of jJohn paterson.  So far I know that he was married to Jane kerr who was born 1788 midlothian.  I'm assuming he was born a similar time. They had at least 5 children in South leith. Margaret cochrane paterson was the first one in 1811. John was the last in 1823. Any help would be much appreciated.

John Paterson to Jane Kerr
Marriage Date:    6 Sep 1810. South Leith,Midlothian,Scotland


Jane Kerr
b 13 Dec 1788 bap 21 Dec 1788 South Leith, Midlothian
Parents: William Kerr & Margaret Cochran


The name John Paterson is quite common and the are a number of possibilities in Midlothian but only on in South Leith.
b 1 Aug 1791 bap 23 Aug 1791 South Leith, Midlothian
Parents: Gilbert Paterson & Jane Anderson
