Question on Postal Service Employees

Having ordered a Birth Certificate from GRO which should be arriving in USA about now the question is does the Royal Mail account for weather in Eastern USA and re-route mail through Miami or Los Angeles for the duration of the bad weather?

Does your mail normally go via Eastern America  :-\   

I thought that the mail from the UK was carried by commercial airlines and as they fly from Heathrow/Manchester direct to Miami / LA there should not be a problem.
