Thank you for the update

They were hard times - in 1896 my paternal grandfather was orphaned young (aged 8 and he had younger siblings) when his father and two elder brothers died within a few weeks.

I am interested in finding more about Mary Quinlan and William Walker. Where did GGYD find the military record for William Walker? Can you share the link?

Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.

Hi,
What would you like to know about my Great Great Grandparents?

Mary Quinlan was my great grandmother. My grandmother was a child from Mary's second marriage to  William Harrison. We knew about Mary and William Walker being in India and her return to the UK. We have found her death certificate and therefore know who her parents were but we know little else of the family in Ireland. So any information about her life in Ireland would be tremendous.
