Daughter   i thought the latin might be referring to father as protestant


Good spot, "Pater Acatholicus est", "Father is Non-Catholic".

Wow, thank you all, got more than i expected. On the Parish register, what is the Latin 'Patrinis adstantibus et e sacro fonte levantibus' that is one of the boxes titles, also what is the answer to it please.
And why do you think William is a prisoner?

there are three births I can see to a William WALKER and Mary QUINLAN in the correct timeframe that may link to names you have and be of interest
