Was just reading the Aberdeenshire post, so when I saw this now, knew where it connected. Not many others will though  :-\

Daniel Chisholm born Inverkeithing 13 August 1833, Christened 25 August 1833 was the son of Henry Chisholm and Janet Campbell.

Can see two births for Daniel and Isabella:-

Henry born 7 August 1857 Dunbar
James born 15 March Leith

Henry and Janet married 26 July 1820 Dalgety

kids I can find are

 Peter b 1823
Janet b 1828
Daniel b 1833
John b 1837

Can see a few possibilities for Henry and Janet births but given the names of the children, Janet Campbell born Invekeithing 13 March 1795, parents Peter Campbell and Janet McIntosh might be worth a look.

Their was a third child, William, born in Dunbar in 1859 however parents shown as Daniel Chisholm and Isabella Forbes on Familysearch. He appears with the family age 2 on the 1861 census in Leith and age 12 on the 1871 census in Birkenhead. There were two further children born in Birkenhead who appear with the family in the 1871 census - David age 7 and Daniel age 5. Daniel's brother Peter Chisholm seems to be living next door to him in Birkenhead in 1871 ( born 1828 ) with his wife Janet and various children born either Scotland or Birkenhead.

But in a reply on your other post you give the impression you have that cert as you quote their fathers names.  You also say somebody else says they married in Scotland so are you quoting info from that person rather than your own personal research?

You were asked on your other post whether you had checked SP for a marriage - have you?

I can't understand your reluctance  to accept the Liverpool marriage given that both James and Annie were living in Liverpool/Cheshire on censuses prior to the 1887 marriage as per info I have posted on your other thread
