A A Hamilton Hitchen
« on: Wednesday 27 January 16 10:37 GMT (UK) »
My great uncle Albert Alexander Hamilton (known as Alec) he was born in Galway Ireland in 1889. He grew along with is siblings in Dublin.
He served in various regiments during WW1. I am not in need of searching for his war records as I have them.
Alec married a Mary Ann Cook in Working in 1920 while still serving in the army.
He was discharged from the army in 1928, I believe by 1939 he had re-enlisted again this time with The Territorial Army.
I have only just found out from BMD that his death was registered in HITCHIN Herts. I don't have any death certificates.
So what I am curious about is are there any of his descendants in the area also how could I find where he is buried.
One more thing religious faith would have been Protestant so I therefor think he would have been buried in a C of E graveyard.

I do hope there is someone that could assist me with my search.
Thankyou in advance
Regards Elizabeth.

You're welcome.  I'd suggest you inquire both about burials and cremated remains.  Hope you're successful in finding him.

I was so surprised to find out that he was buried or may be cremated in Hitchin as I'm not to far away from there in Bedfordshire.

Thank you so much for that information, I had to view it on my PC as my iPad, would not let me view the information.
Regards.
