No joy with the Lord Roberts line of enquiry so I am dropping it. I know John Sheehan was in the Welsh regiment but the others could have come from other regiments, even Australia, Canada etc. so unless someone identifies the patient holding the photo we'll never know.
You've all been very helpful and I'm very very satisfied with what you've achieved.
