Thank you for all the details.   I am indeed very grateful as a comprehensive picture is now emerging, especially his possible early death which answers the question about lack of end history.

The "criminality" you highlight is essentially summary and does not appear in the Criminal Registers or, as far as I can see, the newspapers.   Are you able to quote the respective citations for the individual crimes ???   The Parkhurst Prison Register confirms he was sentenced "four times summarily" and characterises him as "sly and mischievous at times".    It now remains for me to try and obtain details from the St. Marylebone Workhouse.

I found all the court details as given in newspapers on the British library newspaper archive site; I can give you more exact details re dates etc if you want, but I'm afraid that might not be for a couple of days.
