The family was living in Gibraltar Street, Bolton, in 1901, which is just to the west of Commission Street. On the map at https://www.old-maps.co.uk/#/Map/371131/408803/13/101406 there is a Chapel? marked at the east end of Commission Street.

In the Bolton Evening News - Tuesday 20 July 1869 there is an advert which says
A Day School for Boys and Girls is now open in the Commission Street Unitarian School, commencing at 9 o'clock a.m.
A Certified Master and Competent Mistress have been engaged.
Instructions comprise an Elementary Course, with Drawing and advanced Classes for Chemistry, &c. The Bible read daily, and the teaching entirely Unsectarian. The School will be placed under Government inspection.
Terms: 3d, and 6d. per week.
Night Schools in the Winter Season. For information apply to Mr. Entwisle, 17, Acres-field.
